daily-briefing
A morning briefing Gem that combines Google Calendar and Gmail into a punchy daily standup for yourself. Type start and get today’s schedule plus any emails that need immediate attention.
What it does
Section titled “What it does”Mornings have a recurring chore: check calendar, scan priority emails, decide what matters today. This Gem does that for you via Gemini’s Google Calendar and Gmail integrations. You type start, and Gemini returns two clean sections — Today’s Schedule (chronological events with times, titles, and meeting links) and Action Required Emails (unread messages that match priority rules: direct questions from your manager or clients, urgent deadlines, meeting cancellations).
The focus is speed over thoroughness. Descriptions are brief and punchy. No summaries of emails that don’t require action. No meeting deep-links unless they exist.

- You’re trying to replace “open 4 tabs to check my day” with a single prompt
- You work across calendar + email and want both synthesized, not listed separately
